	No-CD Patch Support Apolyton

Since upgrading, I've lost the no CD patches for SMAC and SMACX. I've found the SMACX one at Gamecopyworld, but can't seem to find the AC v4 one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

	Increase the size of your Attachments

Regular SMAC v4 doesn't require the CD, so you don't need a no-cd crack for that.

Does that include PP SMAC v4, which is asking for the CD?

Don't know about the PP. But you could download the SMACX patch. That contains the original SMAC v4 which doesn't need the CD. You can then copy the terran.exe from the patch over the one from the PP. That way you should be able to play without the CD. Or maybe they have a crack at www.megagames.com.

www.gamecopyworld.com use to have a SMAX v2.0 crack. The only hitch is that for some reason (for me, anyhow) you can't make a shortcut to terranx.exe. I just made a shortcut to the root folder and click directly on the .exe.


Go figure.

A good ploy, I shall try. One thought struck me though - I had trouble installing AC, and sent my computer back for repairs. They installed it, so it's possible it's not even a complete install... Hang on... No, the movies are there so that's a complete install.

I don't even have a complete install, and still I use the crack- all that happens is a warning message comes up when you first load the game, and then, obviously, you can't play the movies without the CD.
