	Discussion: Apolyton's Historian Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

I would like this thread to be for recommendations and general issues to be considered in approving a Historian for Apolyton in our ISDG.


Most think of Historians of games to be 'story tellers'; well to me they are .

Someone who can put together our steps through time into words that evoke emotion and give a sense of real accomplishment is a great part of the game.

I've read a few things from DarkCloud, one being his poem "Progression of the Ages". It is here:

I was impressed.


I would like to nominate/recommend DarkCloud for the post of Apolyton's Historian.


If anyone else would like to recommend someone, or themselves for that matter, post it here and I will run a poll in a few days.

We could have more than one historian. I don't think DC always has time to write stories, therefore more than one should be historians...

I would suggest having multiple historians as well, each focusing on a particular area. i.e., there are military historians, cultural historians, political historians, etc. These would make for more detailed histories in each area, as well as lessen the workload on whomever is doing it.

That's a great idea- I'd be glad to accept the nomination if we have a second historian as I don't always have enough time to do justice for tales, and I like to spend my time and craft something truly excellent!

Since no one came foward to either nominate themselves or another person I will start a poll for this position and leave a couple of options for write-in votes for those that missed this thread. (just to be fair)
