Colonization bug? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but I just had
a group of colony ships arrive in a system at the same
time, in different TFs and I believe set to colonize
different planets. Only one planet got colonized though.
Has anyone else run into this?

I thought I had run into this bug as well.

Then I realized that the planet being colonized was quite off from my ideal. One colony ship would have only given me a quarter of the needed population - as colonies aren't colonies until they have 1000 people there. Since I had 2 colony ships heading to teh same system, they just combined on the first planet to be settled.

Do you have a similiar situation?

The pop of the planet in question was ~3k after
colonization. The viceroy sent the ships off, so I am not
positive they were going to different destinations, but
I swear it said they were in the SitRep. I'll just have to
keep a closer watch next time, and verify what is taking
place.
