I have a hunch we are sitting on rich resources.

Mongoose is the referee for the game over at 1bc. He said he examined the map and thought that all of the positions were acceptable.

I doubt many people would have judged this position acceptable if it were not for some things we have not seen yet. Either that, or he hates Poly.

It's a possibility that he doesn't like us, right? We're everything another team should be jealous of!

p.s. I know he's not on another team (that we're against), but it doesn't stop him form wanting to be with us.

Hinesight is 20/20. Let's stop winning on what could have been/should have been and concentrate on what IS and WILL BE. For that is how we will win this game, not the other way.

I get the feeling "acceptable" means no 3 tile tundra islands. Other than that, we're on our own.

I feel that this game could be a lot more fun than being planted on cattle on shielded grasslands with rivers running down valleys of mountains all of which have iron or coal. It's all about what you make of things.

Oh, ok; I was hoping that it was pretty clear I was joking.

It's really easy to misinterpret things people write in a forum, luckily there are some pretty smart people in here(though not me neccessarily )!

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

It would also give us the chance for lots of rubber and coal, which would be quite helpful.

I wonder about strategic resources such as that. They don't appear until much later. What if we have no actual jungle then?

I think that those resources will appear even if the terrain isn't actually jungle.

Because I think I heard all the resources are predetermined at the start of the game on map generation. But I may be wrong about that.

You're right about it. They're there at the start, and terrain changes won't make them go away.
