I splitted the Trades thread and updated it with info I got from GoW. Have a look there. Please post replies here, and not there.
We have a Civ trait that might benefit us in this situation: we're Scientific, meaning that we'll get Monotheism for free if we have all required techs from the Ancient Era.
We can use this to trade for all Ancient Era techs. It so happens that all Civs we know are researching different things. This is the situation:
We need:
- Construction (researching this, but GoW offers it to us for Monotheism)
- Currency (researched by ND)
- Code of Laws (GS has this one)
- MapMaking (GoW offers this to us for 40g+worker, or we might get it from Vox)
- Polytheism (Vox is researching this)
- Philosophy (...)
If we play it clever, we can get all those techs at once, trade them around a bit, and give Monotheism to all Civs who helped us in the process. Then we'll build a galley, sail to Legoland, and sell the techs for some good land and maybe a city.
I'm not sure how well this plan fits into the deals we have with Vox. But we'll be able to compensate them with the Ancient Era techs we get.
Too bad that, if all SciCivs get Mono for free, then there is no way we can sell Mono to Vox, who are also Sci.

With are inability to trade certain tech (due to the GoW deal) our tech trading ability will be constrained for a while.

Remember that this tech is free for us, but quite costly for you - the research needed is considerably higher...!

1) You will buy Writing from us for 50 gold.
2) We will give you 2 of the following: Philosophy, Construction, Currency, Literature, Polytheism, 50 gold, World Map ... OR we will give you Monarchy OR Republic ... in exchange for the free technology you discover.
Do note that if we do not participate and everyone else does, we will be able to get quite a bargain from those who have the "free tech" as there will be an abundance of it to go around.
Also note, if we already have the "Free tech" this deal would be void.

Getting Currency and other such things could be difficult, but we need to make peace with GoW and ND and get on regular terms with them.
