Does any one know how this works. I actually discovered one of the X's not sure how though. I know that I have to go to the victory screen and make a fleet but then what ships should I have in reserve. I have tried creating a couple with the space lab built in but I still have antarian fleets waiting for ships.
Any insight in this topic would be apreciated.

I'm not sure how it works, but when I sent out expeditions I made sure I had recon mission type of ships, with or w/o research labs depending where i was in tech
