I find that to be a very odd stance. |
we don't have the troops to go in and stay in alone..

who else could? (who is an ally)
but it will be enough I think so that we can shift troops else where if needed durring an occupiation

Canada would be better
I would rather have them than the UK
I am concerned with just the UK (well acutally I am concerned with any number), but probably won't protest it unless we are actually alone
the lowest my concern would go is if Canada, UK, australia and Mexico sided with our stance
I don't care about the UN

Didn't the Brits send some 20,000+ troops? That's significant...

I am not a US citizen and remain undecided on the war. I do not agree with the latest US position that disarmament is not enough and a regime change is also necessary to avoid war. While I would be happy to seem him gone, I do not know what authority allows one nation to dictate the form of government of another.
So far, this whole thing has been pretty predictable . . . Saddam "complies" a bit with weapons inspectors, delays and confuses things while the UN twiddles its thumbs
