Fuzzy text font in MOO3 Suffering from ads?

Hi guys,

I purchased a copy of MOO3, even after having read some so-so comments on this and that. I think it's important to be informed first hand in order to criticise or congratulate
Before I'm going any further: could anybody help me in getting clean and crisp text fonts, because mine are definitely fuzzy (shading effect?)?
My system for this game: 900 Hz Celeron laptop with S3 graphics adapter, winXP
(I have no problems with other game installs)

The problem is that their font rendering doesn't insist on keeping spacing at a full pixel.

Supposedly, doing a font modification can help. See the mod section at Orion Sector - www.orionsector.com. I'm not sure how well it works, because I haven't been bothered enough to apply it.
