Hey, while we increased in GNP (from 36 to 37), we lost a place? At least one team has having a great commerce as well, I can only guess it's RP (due to their river and cows).

It should improve again once we settle the next city, but still...

Anybody want to guess why Madrid is still not growing? They have been holding for quite a while now, they wouldn't be building a wonder, would they? Ah... a map of their location would certainly help. Maybe building an embassy would solve the mystery, even if it would cost us part of our secrecy as well

DeepO, why not send a note to RP asking them what's happening?
Something like;

*Hi, couldn't but notice your capital isn't growing, we hope everything is alright. Would you be interested in a luxury trade/but as soon as we are both able to?*

Let's see what their answer is, maybe they tell more more then is necesairy

Has anyone tried to create an embassy under 1.21? Maybe something changed?
if not,
I'll open one with Alex (euro PBEM)as soon as we all upgrade to 1.21, to see if anything has changed.

It's a mystery to me. All I could guess at is that they have 10 shields per turn at that size and are pumping out units.

Perhaps they are roleplaying, and right now the city is standing still in awe of Togas' Glory?

I thought about 10 shields as well, but that's not that hard to get without losing all growth. 15 shields is not possible at size 5 in despotism, I thought...

Strange... I'll informally ask about it in a PM this evening, now I'm a bit pressed for time, and I still need to read 10 threads here
