	Which Hut First? Tired of ads?

The majority wants all huts popped within a reasonable amount of time. So I've set up this poll to see what order/manner people think we should pop them in. This poll lasts until we recieve the turn, where I and the consulate will decide based upon the results.

Also, please post why you voted a particular way.

Option 1 means it will take 7 turns to get down to the arrow at the bottom of the screen in the MoW thread.

Option 2 will mean it will take 11+ turns.

Option 3 means that W2 will reach the tile within 3 turns.

Options 1 and 2 accomplish the same thing. It's only where the details matter, and I don't like losing 4 more turns for scouting.

Option 3 leaves our capital undefended if we pop the hut in a timely manner, so I definitely don't view that as a viable option given the goal of popping the huts in a timely manner. As for 1 and 2, which of those is better depends on whether we're more interested in exploring west or exploring south. Personally, my inclination would be to pop the southern one, then the northern one, and then head west to find out how wide our land mass is at this latitude, and have another warrior explore to the south closer to the coast later. But if the decision has already been made that exploring south is our priority, popping the northern hut first makes more sense. (I'm not voting here for the time being since I see more decision involved than just the order of hut-popping.)

Yes, that's correct. I was actually basing my numbers on last turn, so they're probably a turn or so off...

I agree with Nathan's reasoning about going for the south Hut then west one since we could continue exploring West. So I voted for option 2.

Some barbs from the west hut will see Poly's borders and are likely to pay a call. I support leaving the west hut alone pending the outcome of the north and south hut. If we get a warrior from either, then going after the west hut becomes a better plan.

Go for the Northernmost and the Southernmost huts first, then go for the Westernmost.

Trip, I have serious doubts about the validity of this poll because right after you posted the poll, you posted a message in effect saying that option 2 will waste four turns. That is true only if we are going to explore to the south either way. So the votes are based on an incomplete and potentially misleading representation of our choices.

I would suggest a repoll where the options are to either pop the southern hut second and explore south or pop the western hut second and explore west. That would eliminate the enormous bias of the poll's current design.

By the way, I didn't vote yet precisely because you seemed to have a built-in premise that we would go south regardless, in which case my preferred option wasn't even among the choices available to vote for!

I'd like to point out that poping the central one prior to the southern most one risks the southern hut being poped by someone else on the landmass.
