Here's the current deal from Vondrak:

We give them Horse, CoL, and Mathematics now.
They give us Philosophy.

We give them Literature next turn.

We get to keep all the money we make from Philosophy and selling contact with Lego.

Does Philosophy come with exclusive rights ?
We get to sell to everyone, and Lego cannot sell it ?
Once we sell contact, a lot of the teams may prefer to buy from Lego.

Can we be nasty, and do a trade embargo on Vox ?

Every deal for Philosophy must have a 5? turn no-resell clause, and a do not sell to Vox ever clause ?

That will give us 5 turns to get a deal with everyone.
And make Vox pay premium prices to us.

Don't let Lego off so easy. The way is reads we are giving alot for Phil. I say make either GPT deal or a "Forgien Soil" deal where we both agree to not found any cities on each others continent until after year X. Hmm... or tell them that they may only settle south of the jungle. In any case, we can get more.

Wait a sec. We have first contact with Lego. Maybe we should be nice to them and start planing the demise of ND after the destruction of RP. Let Lego build an invasion fleet and come from the south up and we go from the north down. I guess this is long term, but we should be nice.

Who is the Lego Ambasador? Mind if I give it a go? (I promise I will be nice! )

Exactly, and yes the Foreign Soil thingie is a go with Lego. In fact they plan on turning the galley around and going back to Legos.

I would really really really like to insert a no trade to Vox clause.
But this needs to be discussed further as the offers come through.

Here's the pm I sent to Lego, yes we are giving them 4 for 1, but we can make lots of money selling contact with them and Philosophy. In addition it can generate a lot of good will with Lego which could be used to our advantage in the future.

They agree to NEVER trade Contact with Legoland or Philosophy to anyone and not to trade contact with GS and/or Vox to Legoland.

I hope a deal involving only the contact on your part in plausible for you, but i'm afraid we cannot offer you anything for Philosophy. GS Update.

They dont want Philosophy and claim they will have it next turn.
They will obviously sell it to whoever we are yet to lock in deals with.

They want a discount for contact with Lego.

I am still waiting for their offer. I assume they are checking who else they can buy it from. We must include a "no-resell ever" clause in every deal, or GS will buy contact from someone else.

I told him that there will be a no-resell clause with every contact so they cant buy it from anyone else but us. I havnt heard from them since.
