	Google Was DOWN Increase the size of your Attachments

Google was DOWN earlier today from about 1120CST-1145CST, with only 1 of my 8 or 9 attempts to search getting through.

I know this image is ****ing huge and will screw over the forum frames, but it is proof of the outage. Kassiopeia also has proof on his webspace but I can't remember the link so if he'd please post his image too.


(note: try searching "google", no quotes/caps. )

Searching Google for google still gives me the 403 (Forbidden), but searching Google for Google doesn't.

They probably use google for something.

If you're referring to the Google Toolbar, it makes it very clear that when you enable certain features it sends and retrieves data from the Google site (PageRank, etc).

It's not necessarily spyware because, well, you NEED to contact Google to get that info if you have them turned on.

Of course, rather than scaring people and being rather obtuse about it, you could have just told them if they were concerned about it, they could disable the features clearly labelled as sending data to/from Google in the Google Toolbar prefs...
