I agree, my girlfriend takes anti-PMS medication and it works wonders. She was so bad early on that I nearly wanted to look for greener pastures.

I understand about the physical contact. There are certain areas on my body that when it's that time you just can't touch or I'll come out swinging. And Steve made the comment that he might just have to go on vacation out of town each month. I don't think he would ever look for greener pastures but I know he might look for a hole to crawl in for the week.

It is a terrible thing to live with. He made the comment last night that if this was going to go on every month he didn't know if he could do it. I guess it's time to get to the doctor.

I've seriously considered that - its particularly scary for children.

The problem is I could come back to find all my possessions have been burned, trashed or given to charity, the furniture in every room has been moved, the car has been sold or our neighbour is in hospital and Mrs Horse is in gaol

Steve was giving me shite about the PMS thing while I have the whole chicken in my hand. I must of gotten a look on my face because after what he said came out of his mouth........he looked at my face and looked at the chicken and said...........why don't I take that and make the sandwhich. My Sunshine Girl doesn't have a severe case of PMS, but she multiplies it by being a black belt in Aikido. Fortunately, the self-discipline she learned together with how to break bones easily means she just needs a lot of cuddling up, which I don't mind.

Actually no.........a corncob. He was raised in Michigan and they used to go out in the corn fields and have corncob fights. His fourth grade school picture he has this huge black eye and swollen nose from getting hit. And there he is just a grinnin' this big toothy grin black eye and all.

And he has 4 sisters, but apparently they didn't go through this plus he's the baby of 8 and siblings are a bit older.

PMS ~ would be Pre Menstral Syndrome.

Yes they have to make it a freeking syndrome. It basically desribes what it says. It's the major freek out from hell that a woman's body goes through before her period which makes her *****y, moody, broody, horny, tearful, happy, sad, starving, bloated and generally miserable for the week before and during.

And may I say that it totally sucks and I am unanimous in that!

One of my sisters has severe PMS symptoms and "exorcist woman" would be a good way to describe her - she screams, throws things, and threatens to kill people (no joke). We had to share a room when we were teenagers and she made my life hell, so I have a lot of sympathy for men whose wives or girlfriends are PMS-prone.

Nowadays, my sister takes B-vitamins (particularly B6) for PMS symptoms. She's much calmer than she used to be, so the vitamins seem to be working.

Ya Mrs Horse does that too - unless she's so freaked out she gets angry and deliberately doesn't Its too late then anyway.

Its very hard to get help for this problem unless the sufferer decides to take some action. But the sufferers can be like alcoholics - in denial.

And for all of you looking at your girlfriend and thinking "this won't happen to us"
childbirth and age can bring on the symptoms to women who never suffered the complaint in their youth.
