Graphics Got spare money?

Anyone know how to access the weapons and units graphics ? Most of the other graphics stuff is in Corelphotopaint files which I can get at but therres this vast heap of Windows files for the unit graphics and some othe rstuff that my machine , which has Win 95 and corel 6 won't recognise.
Without these I can't really do a proper Modpack even after I've tweaked all the values and changed all the text in the various textfiles.

Got spare money?

I am sorry, but they are in a proprietary 3D format and there is no editor on the horizon.:-(

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Many thanks for the info. OK , units.pcx has the basic pics. Next Q. is how do I disable the 3D and moving stuff I can't alter so it doesn't appear and muck up the different look of my new universe?

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I have a graphics related question, how do you make that 'fuzzy' transmission look that all the faction leacers have in .pcx, they seem to have these horizontal lines that run across that dim out the color, how could I do this? I have PS Pro.
Thanks

>how do you make that 'fuzzy' transmission look that all the faction leacers have in .pcx,

The only thing I can think of is to create a mask in Photoshop of alternating transparent grey and dark grey lines and then lay it over whatever graphic you've created.

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

Alexander,

After spending the last 2 days trying to figure out how to get graphics to modify right.. (which I FINALLY!! have accomplished, what a nightmare) along the way I found an easy way to get that 'transmission line' appearance.
in Photo Shop Pro 6 (the free dl).
After you get everything placed where you want it color corrected and all that, increase up from normal to 24 bit graphics, I believe it is under the 'Colors' option, once you do this it gives you access to some of the 'effects' avalible under 'Image'. Select the area you want to add 'transmittion lines' too, then Images>Effects>Blinds. set spacing at 2, and I used a medium grey color and 30% opacity, seem to give the proper effect. This will only effect the image you had selected . after you change what you want make sure to change your colors back from 24 bit to normal. Hope that helped.
