Okay, I misspoke and overstated... I don't think the spy plane implies that Iraq has mass quantities of chemical weapons which it is willing to use at a whim... would be my more refined statement.

The drone doesn't give any indication of what kind of chemical weapons Iraq has. No one is claiming otherwise. The drone is significant because it was not declared by the Iraqis and is therefore proof that they lied on their weapons declaration. That's a material breach...

I'm glade Urban Dullard has decided to go away. I got so tired of his "you haven't proved 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt that Saddam destroyed all of his chemical weapons like the good saint he is... So he must not have any". Why is it even Chirac admites Saddam has chemical weapons but Urban Dullard thinks he's prevy to more info then the heads of state of all the major western democracies?

You don't need to spam, Kramerman; just talk about the topic.

For example, I don't think the fact that this is a clear material breach will mean much; the French and others already know that Iraq is in material breach, but won't approve a second resolution anyway. I think this discovery is far more important in that it will give the undecideds an easy way to come over to the US side. They are probably sorely tempted already and this just gives them something to point to as a justification for their actions. It should be interesting...

This article is interesting because of the unknowns. Why did Blix bury this important discovery in his report? What effect will this discovery have on the undecided members of the Security Council? Will the "smoking gun" people have wanted for so long actually manage to get the US Security Council approval?

If you don't find these questions interesting, that's fine. No one cares if you participate in the discussion anyway...
