To take out, or at least survive an attack upon a planet with no base, but 56.6M torps & 118.1M fighters?

You need an average weapons tech level of about 34 to not die to that, which is unreasonably expensive. If the planet has plenty of credits, you can make multiple attacks with lower-tech ships and still profit. If the planet doesn't have many credits, it's not feasible to take.

You can just get level 35 beams which should be able to take out 145 million fighters. Have around level 32 everything else and you can easily take such a planet. That can be somewhat expensive thought.

Thats how grendles bank was defended and it wasn't too hard to take. (admitedly I had very little armour left). But the expense was worth it for ~140 trillion
