	Gifts and the new orions Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Giving gifts to the New Orions--hows this reflect on your empire? Do they become more friendly to you? Perhaps they will let you have economic and research trades?

I gave 3 planets to the new orions ( good planets but far from my empire-got them from war)--i clicked on the picture in the matrix section and showed our relation ship had improved somewhat.

What are the benifits of doing this?

I have never been able to trade with them--is it even possible?

Do they start accepting and voting in favor of your bills you are trying to get passed through senate?

In one case they did just that after i gave them 3 planets.

Im ranked #2, cynoids ranked #1-we have been at war for a very long time. We are both on the sebate. I tried to pass a bill to have them kicked out of the senate---the new orions voted for me and they were kicked out. Does this have anything to do with the "gifts" i gave them?

Maybe you are on better terms with the NO then the Cynoids are, and the gift just helped.

Go to the Foreign Matrix, go to the right side, slect "Cynoids" from the drop down list. Click on the NO to see what the relations are like.
