I have negotiated with Ghengis Farb to aquire Polytheism this turn. Here is our deal:

GoW sells us Polytheism for 20 gold. They get the chance to first sell it to the other teams for 60gold (or less if they choose, however GF and I had a long conversation about just HOW RICH those off-continent civs are).

We agree not to offer Polytheism or reveal that we have it for 10 turns.

Should GoW sell Polytheism to any other civ for 50g or more, they will give us a 10 gold bonus for keeping quiet. (if they sell it to 2 civs, it pays for itself).

Other information I learned in chat:

GoW is researching Construction. Neu Dem Currency. We are getting very close to the Middle Ages.

GoW has decided not to try to compete with Neu Dem for old Luxia and are planning on building 2 cities on an island to their west.

Ghengis heared that Neu Dem paid GS 100g for Code of Laws. I told him what Trip has told me ... that Vox has 180gold, because they gave 80 of their Lux booty to Gathering Storm. Bottom line, both of those civs have deep pockets.

With regards to the early Middle Ages:

They are researching Feudalism.

	Suffering from ads?

Things to watch:

Barb uprising. When 2 civs enter the middle ages, barb uprisings will occurs. We have to have units available to defend our workers and infrastructure from them.

GoW/Lego relations. We already knew Lego wanted to settle that island, especially if there were any resources on it. Now GoW has indicated they want it also. This relationship may down hill if one civ tries to settle there and find another there already. If this happens GoW may attack ND or Lego, since they will then feel boxed in compared to us and ND.

Possible ND attack. Particularly before our Iron is hooked up. With that scout there the know exactly how far away we are....If this doesnt happen I would expect them to attack GoW if they get chivalry first.
