It doesn't sound to bad, but:
some pro and contra's:
1.) How should the court be sure that this person actually wants to commit himself to this position? (worst case scenario) He might have not the time or isn't willing. (he even might have not read the post saying so...)
2.) Why then only restrict it to one candidate per job?
3.) How do you want to make sure, that the 'party-system' will not change the game? Shall parties be recognised by the connie?

i say leave as is, if the person can't be bothered to make a simple, "i want to run for X" post in a five day span, they really shouldn't be considered for the position.
And the connie should NOT recognize parties, only guarantee the freedom to make and belong to them.

it's a three day span.... maybe that's actually rather short, wouldn't hurt to extend that for the election in a month, any thoughts?

I think a 5-day election is a must, but extending the nomination period to also 5 days would be a rather good idea in my opinion.
