Making old design obsolete Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

How do I make old designs obsolete? I have seen quite a few references to this but I have not discovered how to do this.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Go to shipyards screen, select the current designs tab, select design to remove, click make obselete (next to the picture)

This will indeed make the design obsolete and therefore unavailable for production. I think it is also possible to actually scrap the design completely. Has anyone tried this yet?
