	I just my gasmask today. Yuck. Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

The homefront command ordered masks to be opened and measured, while keeping the filters sealed. From now on, we must take the masks with us, wherever we go.

My gas mask also has a special ventillator since I'm asthmatic.

The mask has a funny rubbery smell and isn't that nice. I think it might be too small on me, since the last time I was measured for size was many years ago.

It's a bit tight and sits awkwardly. But it does seal my face quite well (when I cover the inhaling valvue I can't breathe, and the mask changes shape) so I think i'll stick to it.

Correct. Today, only about 1/3 of the young men in Sweden have to go. In my youth it was more like 90%. You would get jail for refusing.

When I lived in Sweden, a Russki sub ran aground in Stockholm Harbor. Submarine is a great way to senak fellers in, and the incident proved the Soveits had an interest in Sweden.

Not in the south where I live. USSR was only 300 km overseas. My radar station could see all the way into USSR airspace.

The sub stranded only 100 km from where I live and 30 km from my air base.

Like Israel's gonna get gassed. This is just government terrorism. They're trynig to scare. Even if a gas shell does land in Israel, unless you're in the immediate vicinity, the gas will disperse to the point it won't be very harmful. If you are in the immediate vicinity, I doubt you'll be able to get it on in time to help.

Che you're again being silly.

Israel can be gassed, and if the state doesn't prepare us for it, if it so happens to occur - can you imagine the government's responsability over the people that died?


We get an alarm as soon as a launch is detected , meaning we have around 3 minutes to get into a shelter and put on a mask.

Che, let me elaborate.

Having been the unlucky recipient of CS tear gas, I can tell you that that alone is an unpleasent experience. My eyes clogged up, I have a stuffy nosy, I was coughing, it rained so I got the crap stuck in my pores, thus making me burn. BURN!

And all that was from one asprin-size tablet on a hotplate.

So, don't blow smoke up anyones ass about how it would "just dissapate", maybe it will, maybe it won't. I think there's enough of a chance that it won't that requires prudent measures.
