By the way, what are teams' views on the subject of people (like me) joining just so they can actually see what is going on in the game? I don't have the time to make any kind of commitment to being involved, but it would be nice to know vaguely what the world looks like, who is at war with who, that kind of thing.

Every team will have its own policy on allowing new members to join. Legoland beleive that its members need to be committed to the general ideology and prepared to contribute their opinions and ideas. We are happy that that is the case

If you follow these forums you will notice that Trip is attempting to gain access to all the teams forums in order to 'Chronicle' the game. That might be the best source of general information....
