	how do you get rated "king" and "settler" Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

i mean i see some people rated emporer others king some prince and me settler! how do you get these rating and how do you increase them

It is based on how many posts you have. The exact number it takes to progress from one to another can be found in the FAQ.

Your title is your post count. So the more posts you make in the forums, your count goes up and eventually you will go from settler, to chieftain, to warlord, to prince, to king, to emperor, and finally to diety.

But be aware: "Spam" posts - or posts just posted with no relevance to the subject at hand but only to increase your post count is not tolerated my the Moderators.

I haven't taken the time to read the various faqs but I am *assuming* that the various rankings is based on messages postings. Post more and you get ranked higher?

Getting to warlord is fairly straightforward, it can take a while to get to prince. I can only really post at work so it might take me soem time

The whole post count/title biz seems a bit silly. I'd prefer "Dissident" after my name. But this leads to a question: what is the significance of the numbers next to ADM/HP in a profile? (i know what they mean in the game)

I think I post now a average of 2-3 posts per day (my first 2 months on Poly were improductive), and mainly on Civ3 General Forum. MasterZen seems to omnipresent: every forum there is, there is he. Perhaps some day I will have more to talk about also.

Or I just keep myself in my corner.

-Settler 1-30
-Chieftain 31-100
-Warlord 101-300
-Prince 301-1000
-King 1001-3000
-Emperor 3001-10000
-Deity 10001+

Oh, and I made it in 2 months and 10 days...

It actually depends on how many threads you are involved in. Answering posts on 9 active threads twice a day means 18 posts a day and doesn't take too much time.

Try our resident minister of war, Trip, he's got like 13 per day since last april. Now that's a sustained post count!

ISDG has lately taken a lot of my time (and posts)

I'm usually most active in the Spanish forum, the ISDG (private) forum, the Strategy forum and the General forums although I've taken a lesser interest in the latter the last couple of days...

I'm happy with my 1 a day average, though I probably post much more than that on average at this time. There were the early months where I didn't post at all.

I didn't really post much during my first weeks, about 5 a day, but now that I'm involved in so much stuff...

Another easy way (though I don't do it) is to participate in those Neverending Stories and Roleplay things. And PBEMing does increase it a lot too.
