understanding rapture ... Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Hi All,

I've read the manual several times but I just can't seem to understand how the phenomenon of "rapture" happens ...

I have


  • a food surplus (because my granary is growing every turn)
  • government set to "republic"
  • 3 citizens in the city - 1 of them is an entertainer, one is happy and the third is content


As I understand the manual, the city should now produce one additional citizen for every food surplus I have, but nothing happens! I enable the "celebrate" checkbox in the CMA controller but still nothing happens.

What have I missed out here? Could somebody tell me how exactly its done?

Yes you have missed something Increase the size of your Attachments

Notice you need 3 happy citizens in either Republic or Democracy. 3 CITIZNES THAT ARE WORKING. ENTERTAINERS DONT COUNT.

Try this
Get your city to size 3 then raise you luxury until all 3 of them are happy>see what happens
