Ah! Yes, good, old Commander Keen! That was something!*dreams*

First time I tried it, was at the time of number 4 I think. I didn't have my own computer, but played much together with friends.

I didn't get my own computer before 1996, so the age of Commander Keen was long gone, but I've found several of the chapters at abadonware sites. Play them from time to time!

Doom 2, secret level - run to the back after killing all the wolfenstein guys and the Cyberdemon and you'll see 4 Commander Keens hanged just waiting to have bullets pumped into them (to kill them again?) so you can complete the level.

I agree. Number four is best! Of course, that I think so can have something to do with it being my first meet with the Keen games.

Neither Keen or Doom 2? I don't know for Doom 2, as I don't like that type of games( Please don't hurt me ), but I can assure you I can list some sites regarding Commander Keen. Of course, I can't list them here, as I then would be going to a vacation at Mingapulco or something near that... I did give a ling once, believing it was okay(oooold game) but it wasn't. I just got a warning though. But I hope it is allowed to talk about this? If not, I'm out!

I answered to Ottok. Neither Doom I or Doom II.
Commander Keen is in HOTU, which, for me, quite frankly, means that ID Software doesn't really care about it anymore. Officially, I think it's ok to talk here about abandonware, if we do NOT mention any sites where to get thes, nor do NOT provide any links...

I think that mentioning 'HOTU' is allowed, since nobody that hasn't been there knows what it is.

There's not an official specific rules at ACS about this, but this is the impression I've got. Besides, it's common sense. If we start talking about names here, people can use google and find theoretically illegal sites easily. That is baaaad.

On-Topic : Which do you consider as the hardest game of the seven official Keens? I've always thought that the 3rd one was the most difficult one, you'll get real short with ammunition before the barracks, and then there start flipping ninjas... ugh. Tough. I actually get depleted ammunition and have to commit a suicide frequently, a thing which would be impossible in other Keen's.

Right, that's what I meant. Secret of the Oracle it trully the best one. armageddon machine (episode 5) had that very stupid space station setting.

Which number was "Goodbye Planet"? I can beat most of it except for the Island of Fire and the ISland of mud.
