I think I should immediately respond that 'invasion' implies that the land was theirs. We can see no territorial borders. In deed - the land is much closer to our capitol than either ND or GoW.

What do you think Jon? Maybe we should start a new public thread. I will quote GF's comment, and then refute it. Let me know asap.

well it's obvious they see them. So we have to say something to avoid a public relations disaster.

basically we have to state that the land is unclaimed, and that we are restricted by our small continent size, and our settlers yearn for new land.

I don't have time to write it up right now.

They will either decide that the land is theirs and will fight for it. Or will let us have it and either ***** about it, or accept us on their continent.

Vox Controli Public Announcement

Earlier today, GhengisFarb of Glory of War made the following puplic statement:

"It may be a bit before we pass on the save, we are preparing for the first Intercontinental War.

Vox invaded Bob with a force of Immortals."

Vox Controli would like share the facts with you. We have not declared war on any civilization. Our military on Bob consists of two Immortals and one spearman.

From our persepctive we have not invaded. We have not crossed any territorial borders. In fact, we cannot see any borders other than those of Vox Controli. The land is free and unclaimed. And an important point to note is that the territory we currently occupy is very much geographically closer to the Voxian capitol than that of Neu Demogyptica or Glory of War.

Our intent is to live in peace and harmony with the civilizations of Bob.

word choice is a powerful weapon. What we don't say can hurt us, but then again it can gain us a one turn advantage, we know what we are doing they do not, we could us the new city as forward command center, if push comes to shove.
