Sloww called you a moron because your post was very shallow. Many people already said Israel has violated UN resolutions on the OT forum, and we know the argument. Several anti-war people have written several pages about the reasons to oppose the war. Sloww is often Insulting, but Shi Huangdi is generally not. You should consider having a deeper analysis.

I don't think I need to go into the differences between Iraq and Israel.

And in either case. My usual argument for avoiding all other wars besides Iraq.

Because Israel would kick our ass!! We can't even handle the Iraqis. I thought we could win that war, but I have my doubts we can even take the weak Iraqi nation!

What i am about to say have probably been said before as well but:

The problem will be to capture baghdad. Fighting in a city against Saddams elite force will be tough and it's not impossible that Iraq have got some (new) weapons from Russia even though Moscow denies it. Actually I don't know what USA have in mind. It's not likely that they will besiege Baghdad either because it would be to timeconsuming and the so very important homeopinion would drop.

It is false to say Israel is committing genocide. The Israeli repression of the intifada sure is brutal, and many innocent Palestinian civilians get caught in the crossfire. Houses get destroyed, lives are broken, hate raises. No doubt the Israeli army isn't a bunch of nice and lovely guys.
But this has nothing to do with genocide : genocide is the very attempt to exterminate a whole population, by killing it systematically and methodically. To a gencocidial leader, any person belonging to the "enemy" population is an enemy, whether fighter or baby.
Israelis could have killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions, civilians with their huge firepower. They could have carpet bombed cities without military aim just for the sake of killing Palestinians.

They did not. The Israeli army sure doesn't bother on the colateral damage, and I suspect there are some isolated actions taken against the Pals just for the sake of it. But it has nothing to do with a systematical attempt to eradicate a population.

There is nothing wrong saying Israel is wrong and should change its ways. There is something deeply insulting to say the Jews are perpetrating a genocide. They know what a genocide is about. And trust me, it is far, far worse than their violence in Palestine.

Yes perhaps genocide is the wrong word for it. Errors like this occurs when I don't write in my native language. However I was not only refering to the palestine people when I used the word genocide. I was also refering to the massacre at some refugee camps during Israels war with its neighbours. I don't recall everything exactly now and I don't have the energy to look it up. Someone could perhaps help me out?
