	For the record: GF offense to Spain at the international forums Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Yesterday at the international forums (OOC: the general PTWDG forum) GF said the following:

This is by all means a verbal agression to Spain. I don't care if GF saif that in response to a message from MrMitchell, because he stated clearly that it was his own personal opinion, and not the opinion of Spain. Genghis Farb has told all the other nations that our lands are rich, and effectively invited them to come to Spain. This agression shouldn't be left without an answer. I suggest that we begin internal conversations with GoW asking for a compensation for that.

I suggest that we be extremely clear to them and play it tough: any country that settles to the souch of Spain will risk WAR. We can afford this: we have the strongest army in the known world and other nations know that they cannot afford war with us.
We have to make clear that will not tolerate anyone to occupy lands that belong to Spain, whether we have already settled there or not!

As I stated in the Vox thread, GF was open with us that he suggested to Vox that they come down here. He made it sound like it was a deliberately ridiculous suggestion, but I don't think it was.

We should not support them with Iron when the time comes, for sure (or at least threaten so). God knows ND probably won't. Even if it was said in a joking context, GoW is publicizing our lands when we want to quietly expand into them; we need to have a serious discussion with them about this.

I feel it is getting time to teach those SOB of GoW what War really is about. The problem is that ND is right in the way, and if we march through them (with or without permission) ND may march on us.

Trip had a big mouth. That got Lux taken out. GF has a mouth ten times bigger, and I think it is getting time to shove a couple of rotten squid with short fuses in it.

War. I call for war.

I believe it is in our best interest to see GoW tied up in a war with Vox, however, if GoW vanishes, ND will control a VAST amount of territory on our continent. GoW, although annoying and troublesome, serve a purpose of balancing power on this continent.

However, their lack of iron is something we should seriously keep in mind. They will be utterly unable to participate in combat in the middle ages without it. They are a paper tiger. If we trade them iron, we will do so with a hefty list of provisions and conditions.

Do ND have Iron they could potentially trade with GoW? If so we need to make them aware that we have reservations about GoW with Iron.

Remember GoW are "mercenaries for hire", a fact that I was reminded of yesterday. They may well be doing all this in order to stir up wars and pimp themselves out to the highest bidder. We must make every civ they are concerned with realise this and keep them as isolated as we can.

Exactly.

GoW has to be stomached at this point, as the Arabs are actually a threat. I might suggest either smashing the flank of these Arabs as they march off to fight the Voxians, or waiting for them to try to finish off China, as they undoubtedly will. I prefer the latter, though I think the former is more realistic.

I suspect they will march on us prior to going after GoW. That is why I am proposing to take them out first.
