I have noticed that there is only one road connecting Pamplona and Madrid. In case of war someone could easily cut it and it would take us forever to repair it. Then the luxuries will be lost for half the realm.
I think the Leon road should be extended south of Pamplona, to go through the woods, over the hill, through the desert, and then over the hill again to Barcelona, with a stop at the spice city (whatever that will be.)

Through the woods? Are you crazy? Have you thought about the dangers that hide in the woods? Robbers and other ruffians, wild annimals and it's dark in there.

Blast. I favor the mountains!
You see...there is something that those who have not read The Sacred Ancient History of the Birth of Spain may not know of my mountainous routes!!
That's right, chaps...before there was squid for the Calamaris, we mined in the Squidimark. You see...apparently, for some appaling reason, some of us had actually married into the local dwarf population, and so we became expert miners. Diamonds and gems, you see...so began our fortune, in fact.
So, without a doubt, I'd love to see us return to the mountain.
Just watch out for balrogs. Quite a lot of them in the deep places of the earth. Demons of the ancient world, you know.

That strange song señor Godking was singing has given me an idea: Why don't hire some bards to compose a song telling the greatness of the Spanish Empire and its great Lord Togas?
Oh, and about the road. Señor Pikesfan is right. A second back up road would help our team. The only problem is that as always there are a lot of things to do and too few slaves. I would like to know what are señor Roadcage opinion's about that.

Oh please stop that! We'd better have a good musician. Is there no citizen that can play music properly?
You'll get paid for it

*cough cough*
My father, bless his immortal soul, was the poet laureate of Spain, you know. Sadly, many of his sagas burned up in a fire, though snippets remain, and some of the bards go around and sing some of his older sagas (that is before we slap them with copyright infringement, and toss them into prison).
I am also skilled with the lyre. And the lute.
And I have a superb bodyguard, named Gastronome Neecap Jr., who can beat up anybody who doesn't stop to listen to the bard, and acknowledge that his work is good, and that Togas is the Great High King!
What more do you need?
