Story: (first part from WRangler Rhymer if you dont mind )
"Hitler awoke to the news of an Allied strike in Normandy. Hitler's Generals were relieved that they did not have to wake him. Hitler ordered the his battleharden Elite Panzer division to strike down the assault. The Allies were stablizing the coast of Normandy when the Panzer arrived and pushed them back into the coast. Trapped like rats the allies orderly evacuated in a Dunkirk like event, but this time it would not be as successful. Ike put out the telegram that he most dread the order to retreat. The German had hammered them hard on there way out. Half the Allied landing lived, mostly Americans, and Brittish. The Free French leader Charles de Gualle was killed when a mortor jammed and exploted, killing him and two others. The Free French were then surrounded. They were sieged into surrendering. The Germans had survived for the time being. The Russian had push the Germans back, but the fought back to a stalemate. The U.S. now had to redirect forces to Brittian incase of a German attack. The Japanese moral rised and they took back the Phillipines, Iwo Jima , and Okinawa. They had completed building 13 submarine carriers, but their surface fleet was in deadly need for rebuilding. North Africa was once again in a stale mate of the Allies and the Axis. " But the Allies can completely stop Japan. For most of the war the Nationalists have been saving their army for after the war to fight the communists. But now as the war conitnues to drag on, the nationalist are starting to doubt if CHina will be become part of the Japanese Empire. So efforts bettween the Communist and Nationalist to settle their differences and to start truely fight back against the Japanese have begun, and if secussfull would surely speed the defeat of Japan.
The Germans had a very small change of draging the war out to a stalemate, and maybe even win if they could push back the Russians and cut off Britain with their subs again. But they still have to deal with the American airforce which continues to pound Germany everday.
Time:
Each turn will be one month, so that we can have detailed battles. But if you wish for time to move faster that can be done as well. THe Start of this is right after the failed Normany invasion.
Other Notes:
I will moderator all battles so we dont have over broad stuff. So post your moves in your posts, and I will post the winner. Both Sides can win this war still. But it will take skill and great tatics for the Germans to win.

Stalin has died. The real cause is unknown, but the limited official proclamation given out is that “he got sick, fought the dreadful illness valiantly, but in the end gracefully died knowing that Mother Russia is in good hands”. From the unusually quick ensuing power struggle Molotov has emerged as the new leader of Russia. Stalin in his death has been glorified a fair amount for political reasons (though not as much as he would have liked) but now Molotov firmly (as well as can be expected) holds the reins. He is still brutal when necessary, but brutal for practical reasons rather than ones of personal politics or paranoia (unless it is absolutely necessary ). Instead he is focusing his policies on making sure that commanders understand that the new priority is winning the war, not purging. Obviously, occasionally such things need to happen, but in general the potential of the individuals and leaders is being allowed to work a little better (e.g., no mad rushes of mostly unarmed complete greenies into the enemy’s fire. Or not as often anyway). Things are not a whole lot better, but they are improving now that people no longer have to compromise quite as much effectiveness out of fear. The system is still woefully backwards, but it is improving.
General orders stand: Hold back the Germans as much as possible. If the opportunity arises, push them back, but only if it will gain long-term advantage. Meanwhile, Russia’s industrial facilities are struggling to produce as much arms, vehicles, planes, tanks, equipment, etc. as possible. Any people that can be spared from the immediate front are being trained in the use of this equipment, nothing fancy but better than being entirely green and getting thrown into battle. Any forces and personnel that can be spared are being reserved, training for what will hopefully be a reasonably prepared offensive sometime in the future. Emphasis on airplanes. But in keeping with general Soviet policy, if there ever is a need for troops, just throw whatever we’ve got in there.
USSR to Britain, U.S., other allies:
Let us share all technological data and construction expertise that we possess. Only by working together can we beat the German menace.
USSR to U.S.:
Please, help us. We are dangerously close to the edge of defeat, while we are currently holding on, it wouldn’t take much for the Germans to push us over the precipice. If we fall, the Germans may well become unstoppable, as the British would soon follow and things would just generally go downhill from there. Any aid you can give us will be appreciated, but we would most like help in setting up factories and generally increasing our output of weapons and armor and planes.

To: India
From: Britain
Just when we thought you were ready for complete independence.
You ruined it all, you shall be crushed, and this time we will not be so kind with you, it is obvious that the Indian people are not worthy yet of independence.
To: USSR, US
From: Britain
We agree with the new government of Russia, only by uniting our efforts we shall be able to destroy the Axis scum.
To: Australia
From: Britain
Due to the betrayal of India, we will need to place more of our fleet there, so your fleet is becoming more and more important in fighting Japan, may I suggest you to enlarge it as much as possible, we need to isolate the Axis powers, and then taking them down one by one, we need to be sure that Japan and India will never be able to contact each other.
----------------
Orders:
- Place Naval Blockade on India, blocking the Indian economy.
- The British troops still India are to reach China as soon as possible, and help in the defenses of China.
- The Royal Navy is to lock the Italian Navy into the Med, by locking down Gibraltar and the Suez, while an attack on the Italian East Africa is being done from Sudan and Kenya.

I suggest we fill up the existing countries with players, before starting revolts on my territories.
Why in the world should the UK lose Canada DURING the war, I recall the Canadians being very supportative of the British government while WW2 was on.
Plus, I just think it is not right to creat new nation out of already taken ones, while there are still many free nations up to grab.

Yes this is a much better Idea then Having a sperate nation of Canada. SHould have asked first, sorry about that. Yes We need someone for Japan, why does not anyone want to be Japan???

USA to USSR:
We agree. This menace must be stopped. We shall put aside our differences and together we shall liberate the world from the horrid fascists of the Axis Alliance.
With the new designs of the Soviet T-34 tank, American factories have begun mass production of them. Several supply ships are en route and have been arriving at the Soviet port of Vladivostok unharmed, carrying with them tons of supplies, and several tanks, artillery pieces, aircraft, small arms, ammunition, and supply trucks. The reason for these American ships being unharmed by Japanese vessels, is they have been sailing under the Soviet flag.
The Allied air forces are ordered to launch a more intense campaign against Axis forces in Europe. Hundreds of thousands of pounds of ordnance should be constantly falling on German factories and armored columns, casualties are expected, but the American war machine can not be hindered.
Two army groups are to reinforce North Africa, under the command of George S. Patton. They are to drive the German panzers off the continent at all costs. They have complete air support and artillery support. For now this is the main objective, the people of the Allied nations need a victory to boost morale from the horrendous defeat at Normandy. The Brits should launch an offensive from the East and the American forces under General Patton shall launch it from the west, by the time he launches campaign he should have at least a hundred or so American T-34 style tanks with him. Operation Desert Sweep is underway.
The American style T-34 tank shall be designated the Grizzly I Tank.
General MacArthur has planned to retake the PHilippines as he vowed to do so in the beginning of America's involvement in the war. WIth support of several thousand Australian troops as well a Kiwi forces, US Marines are to establish a beachhead on the northeastern section of the Luzon island of the Phillippines. But not before air superiority is established and Allied naval forces are in command of and secured the area in question. Prior to the invasion or during, leaflets shall be dropped all over the PHillippines, calling upon them to rise up against their conquerors, and aid the allied forces who are on their way, it should also mention the words of General MacArthur "I have returned!"
OOC:sorry about my absence, i forgot...

The OSS (Office of Special Services) have contact with most of the underground French Resistance leaders. They have coordinated several operations in the past. Several OSS agents and certain ranger elements as well as SAS commandos have inflitrated into German controlled France and are working with the French resistance to hinder German forces across Europe. They focus on the V2 Rocket emplacements in north France to help stop their reign of terror upon the Londonians. THey also focus trying to destroy U-boat pens/docks and factories.

The USA will not accept any peace from the Germans unless it is accompanied by a document titled 'Total Surrender of German forces' by Mr. Adolf Hitler. Your conquests of sovereign states can not be tolerated, sightings of certain camps whose sole purpose is to extinguish an entire race can not be tolerated, you launching of total war upon free states so that your 'third riech' can have breathing room can not be tolerated! The only way we would even consider coming to the negotiation table with you is if you cede all conquered territories and retrace your borders to the original border of Germany, only then shall we begin discussing peace.
OOC: I did read your offer, what's the big deal?

OOC: what do you have in mind? Germany and US allies? That sounds unlikely. You want me to pull out of the war thus sacrificing every allied nation fighting against you? I don't see where ya heading with this...

North Africa:
The Axis have come under attack by a dual front assault, Americans from the west and British from the East. The new T-34 tanks from Russia are doing well against the German tanks, although German Armor is still has the upper hand, inflicting many causalities on Allied Armor. The Germans will need reinforcements soon in the face of the American and British forces which outnumber the Germans.
Asia/Pacific Theater:
Japanese begin a massive drive to rebuild their air force and navy, with what little war materials they can get their hands on. Japanese are heavily entrenched and promises to give the allies a long a bloody battle for the Philippines Islands. Allied airpower is busy securing the skies above the Island before the invasion, and outnumbering the aircraft based on the Island.
Mean while in India, the newly created India army launches an attack into the Soviet Union. The small India Air force is have some effect in the battle, but the Soviets have not brought to bare the full might of their air force on the India attacks yet. India managed to advance into Soviet territory.
In India though their has been some civil unrest, not a open rebellion, but more along the lines of civil disobedience lead by Ghandi, opposing the current government, since they have chosen to side with the Axis and have turned to violence to gain independence, something that Ghandi is deeply opposed to.
Europe:
The Eastern front counties to be a stalemate of Russian and German forces, due mainly to the attack of India on the Soviets. Germany though continues to be bombard by the Allied air force, costing it many factories in the process.
