As it stands, NationStates is a pretty simple game. I wrote it as an interesting and amusing little site that a few thousand people might want to visit. I love it that this has happened, but the site is now too big and demanding for me to run properly. So NationStates is going to stay like it is: simple, a bit buggy, but still fun.
A NationStates sequel, though, could develop the game's potential. I have a few ideas for how it might work (see my thoughts so far for details), and I think it would be cool. Now I want to see how many people agree.
