	UN cathegory Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

My nation has been a boring Inoffensive Centrist Democracy for a while now. I've tried to change this by passing insane bills like banning cars and introducing ethnicity quotas in TV. But it doesn't change! Why? Does the UN category get "locked" after X weeks or something?

i don't think they lock, but i've been having trouble getting out of "Father Knows Best State". Try funding the police and military and putting in police cameras or national ID.

It hasn't, mine has changed many many times. Started off as a Scandanavian Liberal Paradise, have been Democratic Socialist, Liberal Democratic Socialist, Civil Rights Lovefest, IOD, Capitalizt, Capitalist Paradise, Left Leaning College State and a few others. I still the SLP is the best, although I usually dodge between Capitalizt (because of letting them fire workers), Democratic Socialists (because of high tax, education and welfare spending) and Inoffensive Centrist Democracy (if I have neither of those issues). In fact, I think I've had most of them at some time or another

I have gone from a Pyschotic Dictatorship to a Authortianrian Democracy back to the Psychotic Dictatroship.

Maybe I shouldn;t of made extra prices for meat and increased the military budget.

just try to get something HIGH or something else LOW.

Allow freedom of speech when it comes up (let the Nazis rally, etc), and if you get the "Not so much dictatorship, if that's all right" issue, say yes. That's about all I can think of right now.

Oh, and be sure to let corporations donate money to political parties and make voting optional.

Thanks GT, I already know of those first two issues, and will keep my eyes open for the latter two. I've not seen the corporate donation issue for a long time since I outlawed it (I was trying for a dictatorship at the time and succeeded) and I've yet to see the optional voting issue IIRC

Personally, I wouldn't run a country to try to get certain settings. I would run it as I would run a country, and then see what settings I get. For instance, I want higher political rights, but if I had a country, I wouldn't be letting corps. donate to plitical parties, and thus it is banned. I think that gives the people more freedom to make their own opinions, but that's just my opinion.

I want to switch Eternal Cold to a representative or other non-monarchy type of government, but apparently the people are satisfied with my benevolent rule
