	The Court: Judges Nominations Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Since we may have another case soon, and it has been a while since we last elected judges for the court, I thought it was an apt time to do it.

You have 2 days to nominate yourself if you wish to run, and then the poll will be open for 3 days. As per usual, we need 5 judges, as we need at least 3 for each case (unless fewer is requested by all parties). If you wish to run, please give the name of the country that you represent.

This court is optional, and for mediation, so if you do not wish to participate, you do not have to.

The People's Republic of New Sheepsta would like to voice its dissent of the court, which although New Sheepsta is not a member of and is not bound to follw its descions would have apower occupying parts of the sovereign nation of Sheepsta on the judges bench.

This especially when the court is most likley to hear the case for the return and reunification of Sheepsta with its true and INDEPENDENT government.

The Republic of Centralis would also like to put istself forward for a position on the Court.

'New Sheepsta': You need not worry that the situation between you and Alecrast will cause problems in the court. It would stand to reason that a judging nation would not ahve the power to act in a case concerning itself.

Only if Archaic is voted in. Furthermore, as you said, you can decide not to be party to anything here. However, if you wish international help, and for your position to be ratified legally, then it is the only option.

As GT said, no judge can hear a case with which they are involved. Therefore if the Sheepsta position comes before the court, Archaic will not be able to preside over it.

The set up has changed slightly (the sequence of Judges didn't work, thus we just accept as many of the judges who are available and uninvolved, with a minimum of 3) but remains mostly the same. Case will be held in the style which the Judges hearing it wish to.

They will be started sometime after 7pm GMT tomorrow, for 3 days. Since last time people suggested having a chief justice, to run the threads, and to post the new elections, I will also post a poll at the same time for the Chief Justice, with the same applicants. That will be single choice (and I presume whoever is the most popular Chief Judge, will be one of the top 5 Judges ).

You can vote for up to 5 (since we need 5 judges), so you may vote for both if you wish. The only single vote one is for Chief Justice, who will have to post the next election (in up to 2 months time).
