I think Ethiopian jews are considered "real" (ethnic) jews too...

That's why I put "real" in brackets. However some jewish people believe they that their religion IS ethnic persuasion and look to converrted to judaism people as not "Real" jews.

I'm glad you included the "made up my own, sincere belief". I believe there's something beyond what we percieve as reality, but I don't follow any organized religion. The one that comes closest is Buddhism though.

And I certainly don't buy the whole Jehovah/Allah thing. God's not going to have any particular concerns about some insignifigant creatures living on a tiny ball in some distant corner of the galaxy. It has a universe to run, so it's up to us to find that part of reality from within ourselves.

There's a large black Jewish community in Africa somewhere, I forget where exactly. They sometimes refer to themselves as the "lost tribe". I don't very much about them, but I recall reading an article at one time.
