Actualy, France is our ally by treaty, thus not "theoretically" but actually.
How many Turks do you think want the Us to win the war? and turkey is another actual ally. Ask also in Spain, one of the "willing" and see what answers you get.
For those to thick and self-involved to get the message, here it is: The US generally ignored the feelings and opinions of many of tis most important allies (and even in most states called willing most people oppose the war) because our leaders said: "screw you, we don't really need you guys anyway". So, it would be really nice to see the Us get egg on its face and lose, thus proving the Us wrong. Soince losing such a war would be a political disaster for the US leaders, but not in any way fatal to the US, what they basically waht to see is an "arrogant US" gt *****slapped and thus become less arrogant. It is a simplistic minded feeling, but that is what it is anyway.
As for the knuckleheads who did this: lets hope they are caught and whatever the maximum penalty is, they get it.

I'd say that 75% of the planet is against the U.S. in any thinkable way. People hate Hollywood, the american flag, their way of thinking, their loud mouths, their way of sticking their nose in everybodys business, their army, patriotic for no reason, the fact that they think the're alone in the world, the fact that they dont even know what's out of their borders, the fact that they bully other countries, american cars, Barbara Streisand, McDonalds and what comes with it......I could go on and on and on and on....Just like the enrgizer.
Why dont americans see that they deserve all the hate they get?!

france has always had a negative attitude towards thier good neighbours the brits, and now it's worse than ever. The problem lies in the French jealousy and also resentment for what has happened in the past. England and more so America have been sucessful as nations, the French have slid ever since the 1800's. What WW2 proved was that britain was not only a better nation, but we have better PEOPLE. In that war the brits grafted away to win, while the french were cowardly surrendering white flag wavers - This led with US having to liberate THIER capital and that's a great source of embarrasment for them.
Instead of accepting Britain as the better neighbour they seek to hate us instead, and in thier own minds convince themselves we are infact the worse nation. In the end it is France that will suffer, it's come a long way down but it can only plummet further until it becomes nothing but a tourist nation.
