	How did you succeed in your profession? Tired of ads?

I was wondering if folks here came though their ranks by education from schooling, education from On the job training or perhaps family?

Also, do you feel content with your profession and also do you feel secure in your field?

I used to work in stock trading; and in that industry on the job training (including contacts you build up) is just about all that matters. Of course many places these days require a college degree to even grant an interview. But formal education will only get you a chance to put a foot in the door. Many of the richest guys I knew on the job (usually older guys) never even went to college.

Actually, I was reading into your comment (perhaps wrongly!!) that you were referring to someone helping you out, as in family/friend, versus actually deserving recognition in doing your job!

But, thats just part of the process of survival of the fittest!

I haven't succeeded yet, as I am still in the process of goign to school

however, the way in which you succeed in my profession involves going to school (it is sort of like on the job training at the say time)
