You know when you play a game oon civ 3, well when i put science on max or happyness on max and raise taxes to 0. sure ill lost a bunch of money but when it goes to 0 does it matter? i mean you dont go into debt. You could easily have no taxes and raise science and happyness to the max! and also build 5 million cities. then you go to monarchy and have cheap military or some other government!!!! well hey the only reason you would eed money is to rush but ( if your in a stupid democracy) or somthing or to do trade with! but when you eliminate the money problem you can build a friggen large military. and still please our citizen, and get nice research now tell me one reason why it doesnt work becuase i found out it is easy as hell to do it and not get screwed over, so tell me why it wont work its a good idea, yah!

I truely believe that this is your first informative post. Your syntax (ie written grammar) makes it hard to understand, but I get your point. The best part of the post is that it is not blatant spamming.

Ok, I not one to post frequently, but I have been reading your post since the beginning; from your unfortunate nickname to the current posts. I have to say that you are not helping your cause by your spamming.

I'm sure you are an intellegent person, with solid CivIII knowledge, and can compete with most players. On the other hand, your post give the impression that you are immature. To be specific, the posts are trying to draw attention to yourself and trying to build post counts. In my opinion, your are hurting your cause.

I am sure you have read many post on various topics. Speaking for myself, my interest lay in learning other strategies, getting involved in group (democracy, PBEM) games, and identifying with others of similar interests. I think I speak for most of the group in saying that your post do not add much to the group. To put it bluntly, your post are eith SPAM or poor attempts at humor. Don't get me wrong, there is a place for all forms of communincation. Spamming and humors have a solid place in Apolyton, there has got to be a balance.

I this post, you strike the balance. Your point is that money (gold) is not important in the eary game. I totally agree; money is of no use under Despotism. It is better to put all your efforts into research. The wonderful barbarian villages are always there to help build your treasury.

Your train of thought is hard to follow due to your incomplete sentences, mis-spellings, lack of section breaks.....but maybe this can't be helped. After writing our post, just review what you post and if it makes sense to you, then others will be able to make sense of it.

So in the end, my humble advice to you is to continure making knowledgeable post...like this one. Make your point, provide your reasoning, and make your conclusion. You can mix in humor and some spamming.

iam sorry for this post, this was my little brothers posting, and well, he plays chiefchain on this game and he doesnt really worry about the money i let him go around online for an hour and he ended up here.

Not at chieftain, IIRC. So at that level, you can spend more then you have, without fear of disbanding...

Actually, maybe this applies to the PTW Demogame as well, however I would consider any team using that as a cheat. We set out to be at Monarch level, and only through bugs did we end up at chieftain... it has cost us enough already.

Personally, I would love luxuries being meaningful, barbs being nasty instead of wussies and techs costing a decent beaker cost, instead of the ability to spend more money then is in your treasury.

How crappy. I've never even played a game below Regent, and haven't played a game under Emperor in a year, so these sorts of things are unknown to me.

I'm not certain how it works (never tried Chieftain either, this PTW game is the first), but there is some exploit where all, or the first turn of going in the red doesn't make your buildings to disband on chieftain, yes. Your treasury just gets reset to 0...

If this exploit is what MegloManiac is talking about in his only 'meaningful' post, good luck to him. I doubt his 'strategies' are going to teach us much, and learning is one of the main goals in Gathering Storm's game.

Well, you could always state that you're gay...that seems to attract some attention.

On a serious note. Meglo, don't worry about thinking up a great idea - it will come to you all by itself. Just follow along on the various threads, post comments on the subject at hand, and ask questions about the subject if you are confused or unsure of what's being stated/asked.

The bottom line is you don't need a profound statement/idea to make yourself known - it will occur all by itself, with time.
