Recommend a blog? Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

So, people seem to be reading these things a lot lately.

Are they good? Do you read any? Which?

I am totaly new to the idea, so can you recommend me an interesting blog?

First of all, I hate the word blog. It's such a stain on the English language, and even more horrid is 'blogosphere'. But here are couple of weblogs I follow on an infrequent basis, but which are interesting:

Z + Partners Weblog - Technology and such, quite fascinating
Greg Costikyan's Games*Design*Art*Culture - Computer gaming, mostly
Virginia Postrel's weblog - libertarian, but not extreme about it
Daily Kos - lefty, mostly about the war these days

As a long time regular, I agree to a degree Apolyton is great.

But I am looking for ... I don't really know.. new stuff..

It depends what you're going for.

I believe www.livejournal.com has the best personal blogs, a lot of them I find really interesting.

If you're looking for political blogs or other kinds of blogs, I dont' know...
