	change path to savegames Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

Hi, I want to change the path to my savegames. the game's directory is F:\games\ctp_program\ctp
and i want to put the savegames in C:\games\ctp\save

does anyone know how to do this?

You could try to edit the civpath.txt in your F:\games\ctp_program\ctp\ directory. There you find a relative path (.\save) for your savegames, try to change it to an absolute path. I don't know if this work but it is worth a trial.

I know, i tried that, but if you use an absolute path, it doesn't work. but thanks for your help

In that case, you could still use '..' to move one folder up in the dir hierarchy, but you'd still have to store the savegames on the same partition (which is why I always install all my games on a seperate 'Games' partition...)

I want to install the game on a cd. I only play it once in a while thats why. When i can change the partition to save my games this is possible. otherwise i can't save my games.
