	ISDG PBEM Game #4 Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Master Zen has indicated he'd like to be invloved in a game with fellow ISDG member's. So I've decide to put on another game.

For this one, I'd like to use a modified rule set that takes away all UU's but leaves in the rest of the Civ specific abilities. The units not usually available because of the superior UU would be made available. This would be a sort of 'half-vanilla' game. It would give a better clue as to what traits would be/are superior without considering the UU of each Civ.

I'd like to use all random settings, except for world size (Standard or Large.)


Eight players would be nice .

Please sign-up, Apolyton Spirit is still alive, right?

This one is going to be 1.21 if enough people have it. I have both installed on my machine. The other 3 games are 1.14.

Is it possible to install both versions at the same time?

I have 1.14 installed althogh I have the 1.21 patch too I haven't installed it precisely because all my other PBEMs are in 1.14.

I would like to try a PBEM with the regulars of this forum, but I dislike the no-UU idea. Would anyone be interested in simply another "standard" (no funky rules) PBEM? Sorry for the threadjack, I'll create a new thread if there is some interest.

actually if both of these games get going i'd be playing my 5th Civ3 PBEM plus a Civ2 PBEM... I think that'll be my limit, there's always RL to attend to.

Just to clear some doubts, AFAIK one thing is ISDG #4 and another is Dominae's vanilla game (ISDG #5?) unless someone wants to change their mind...

Just make sure that the players are listed by GMT zones. That has worked fairly well with games #2 and #3.

I'm not trying to boycott #4, I just prefer playing "normal" Civ3. Plus, without UUs, it would (I think) be a no-brainer to play the Americans, making the other civ choices a lot less interesting.

I have them both installed, but it's a major pain for me to change from one to the other, as I have to do a full reboot when I do (memory leak issue, apparently). But I'll go with whatevery we are all using...
