You may not see me around for a while. I'm confliced about telling you why, if it didn't have to do with a likely extended absense, I'd keep my opinions in the Off Topic thread, so I'll keep it breif. With troops around Baghdad, a poll of San Francicans said 10% favor using tactical nukes.(The margin of error is 1/2 at 10% what it is at 50%) I don't mind getting flipped off or called a traitor when I say I'm against the war, but this scares me, I've lost my enthusiam for PtW and hope to be back later.

For an eerily similar reason, I am also going to be gone for the next two weeks heading out to Vandenberg AFB on business. realpolitic, I hope you are not one of the people I have been warned to watch out for around that area. Reports of 'protestors' attempting to cut power to the base and attacking people wearing base badges. That IS going too far. People have a right to say what they want, true, they have a right to protest as well, but damaging property or physically attacking people is going too far. That goes for both sides of any issue.

Anyway, I was just comming to say Ill be gone for two weeks as well, barring any unforeseen problems.

No, UnOrthO, I'm not one of "them". I decided to become active when the administration said on the same day, Al Qeada was going to gas the East Coast and North Korea was going to nuke the west, This is demogogary. Tommy Franks originally said this was a bad time to start a war without UN approval, after he was threatened with an investigation he quieted down, as well as charges against Scott Ritter former chief inspectorThe CIA had called the administration report on Iraq a fabrication, when gurrella tactics were used,and the war seemed bogged down the administration found scapegoats, Oakland police were using beanbag and 1" wooden bullets, and let's not forget the "accidental" bombing of Al Jezzera. I haven't heard of the demonstration at Vandenberg, and the only direct action I was willing to take was a sit in against wartoys being sold in Easter baskets at KMart. We finally pestered them into taking them off the shelf. I hope the truth becomes clear to all (I'll admit I'm confused). Anyway, goodluck to all.
