damn, that's one lousy territory

well, it seems they will have difficulty with jumping-off points as there are apparently 3 GS cities bordering. Since Monsoon is probably obviously going to be their first target, that leaves the east somewhat vulnerable. I wondering if they are planning a landing in the east. A landing on the southernmost coastal mountain would look superb as the immortals could move to the mountain at 1 and attack the city directly.

I dont get it. I thought GS's land was filled with rich fertile graslands, but I see a good sized desert chunk.

for future reference... elipolis is in nice strategic spot. wink, wink nudge, shake, smirk, smile, rolleye, finger snap (what other body signal do you need? )

When I talked to Ziet a while ago, he told us how they made Vox their *****. He told me that they told Vox not to get into a rexing war with them cause they would win that ball game. What does that one statement mean? Flood Plains. GS started on Flood Plains and has some good Hills/forest for production purposes. With Flood Plains comes Desert. From the picture there, I would bet that the city outline to the south west is a one city trip to their capitol..

Full PM-box? Change here!

I'm guessing they have around 10 cities or perhaps slightly more, more or less packed dense but evenly (3-tile). If you look at the border, it is evident that the 2nd city is located at 3-3-3 from Monsoon, and the easternmost city is 3-3-6 from that one. Classic 3-tile

Being a commercial civ however allows them to be more generous with their spread though, so it wouldn't surprise me if one or two of their cities did not follow the patter.

not commercial. They are rel/ind.

Are they hiding a 21 tile resource capitol or something? They mush have their starting position good to be able to live on a barren desert and still compete population and tech wise!

PS. I see why Vox isnt dead yet... that chokepoint is covered with jungle and mountain... what a lucky terrain formation for the vox!!!

I keep confusing GS being carthage and Lego being egypt!

I think they have a very diverse land, perhaps it is desert in their north but who knows down below...

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

They also have all the Fur resources and all the incense except for one. Fur gives you +1 shield and +1 commerce so if they have those around their capital that would provide for some very potent cities.

From GS:
quote:
To my good freind and ally. One of the warriors is located in a mountain tile one due south (key 1) and one South East (key 3) of Dissentville. the other is on a grassland tile on the east coast. He is 3 due south and one South east from our Iron Colony.
