Apolyton OT has been going downhill for some time now. 9/11 and the latest war has only made the development easier to see and is speeding up the process. Maybe there will be a life after the forum hits bottom like a post-Ragnarök forum, maybe not.

i suppose the americans must be feeling a bit fed up with all the against american policy posts. of course if thre wasnt this foreign policy there wouldnt be the posts.

i propose we delegate part of these posts to the brits, so as to allow the americans to ease off. of course a problem presents itself in implementing this scheme by the fact that half of OT posters are americans the other half brits.


however i'm much too preoccupied at the moment at wether God has decided to punish me for the sin of vanity and has tought me a lesson in humbleness.

I always figured a good debate here should be like a good battle in a hockey game. You may jostle a bit, downright clash or even get to the point where you give each other a poke or two. But the ref is there to call the flagrant fouls and afterwards you should all be able to go out for a beer.

Any antagonism is 'left on the ice" . . . Too bad that can't happen on the ice.


Generally I see no problem with this forum . . . There are tons of people that I almost never agree with but that fine and even fun sometimes

I'll take the opposite view. The bigger the event, the stronger the OT will become. If we're not at each others throats over a events that influence the world, we reguritate gun/abortion/relgion threads. BORING (except for possible involvement by newbs getting hooked by over used bait )

As much as some of the ANTI-american rants can get annoying, it's important that some of us hear them. They may not have changed how I feel but it has sure tempered it a bit. So troll on.........as long as it's not personal.

I agree The reason i why i post here is partly becasue of the antagonism (can be fun), partly becasue of the incredible **** load i learn about almost anything everytime i come here, and partly because of the awesome community. When i ve had problems or questions, most who had the time or the know how wouldnt hesitate to help me out.
