Hypothetical-A bizzare mutation on the X cromozone causes children to be 15% more likley to be born as a female over a male.....

Currently it is roughly 52% male, 48% female-assume it is 50/50, so the world population will soon be 35% male, 65% female........what happens as a result? Go anywhere you think would be interesting with this-thought of this during my mind numbing job.

Actualy, more males are born but since males die at much greater rates at all stages of life, by the end women already vaslty outnumber men.

As for this utterly impausible scenerio (such a mutation is disadvnetagous and thus unlikely to spread far):

Heaven for guys..women would be so desperate for mates that even eeryone at poly would have dates...

Oh NO!!! It would mean the end of poly, as the posters would be out on dates!

This assumes that the mutation would be recessive and bred out - which wasn't in the original hypothetical. Or, that the circumstances that cause the mutation do not prevail through the remainder of the exercise.

Otherwise, it doesn't matter that the average man has more children than the average woman, if every child has the same 65:35 chances to be F:M
