This is a map I have created. You may have seen it elsewhere, I have decided to post it here as well. If you have the original I strongly suggest that you replace it with this version.
Size is 256x256.
-I have made it impossible to build cities on desert.
-I have placed most of the resources in the proper places. To do this I have changed many of the rules that govern what goes on which terrain.
Different starting locations require vastly different stratagies. Expect wars if you start in Southeastern Australia. I you wish to start in the New Zealand starting location you should give your civilization an Ancient Era ship that can travel over Sea. I you are not good at creating units (or too lazy) you can just convert the Man-o-War.
I have changed some of the terrain around some of the starting areas to increase the competitive balance of this map. I have tried to be subtle.
This map has been broken in, version 2 provides good gameplay.
This map is not perfect, If you notice mistakes, please let me know. If people give me useful feedback there will pobably be a version 3 update.
