Much talk has taken place about CFC and them being in contact with GCA and maybe CDG.

If they are in contact, why do neither GCA nor CDG have Warrior Code?

Since many of us started to believe the whole CFC thing was a hoax in their public forum, we played a little game with History Buff during WB's latest chat with him.

It was hilarious.

But I think it gave no proof of CFC's existance.

Well we know how weird both of those teams have been acting. It took two weeks just to get a simple tech deal with GCA done. I'm one to believe that they are, at the very least, knowledgable of the landmass we see West of WBigFree; and that that knowledge includes a very highy probability of another Civ present. I do believe there's a good chance they already have contact with CFC also, not including the "chat" that Trip happened in on.

Maybe only GCA has contact with them and that's why they delayed for so long on our tech deal. They were torn to either trade for WC with CFC or not so that they can maintain the ruse of not having contact with them a bit longer for both APO's and CDG's 'benefit.' If they had maintained that they had no contact with another Civ to both CDG and APO then they would look pretty bad (in their own eye's, they seem to be quite worried about reputaions and such; just check the thread at 1BC about "Ethics")Ethics Discussion

If they had made the trade, then APO or CDG would be able to imediately tell and would then know about the "4th" Civ. We would also, most likely, be able to deduce that it was a Civ that started off with WC; though it could be possible for a Civ to research that themselves, like us .

Or it could be that both GCA and CDG are in on this charade; the only point being: Hide contact with CFC at all costs from APO because we both hate CFC and don't want APO to help them. Maybe they (CDG and GCA) see that they are somehow in between APO and CFC, and it makes them very uncomfortable.

CDG and GCA are both inexperienced and seem to be ostly 'younger' players. This coupled with their hatred of CFC can lead them to do many weird things.

I know there's a lot of 'what if's', but you asked.

BF brings up a good point.

As BF observantly pointed out, it also gives an explanation to GCA taking 2 weeks to negotiate a simple tech trade deal.

Would the communication between GCA and CFC Trip was able to intercept be not against the game rules? I mean... no outgame contact before ingame contact made, that's the rule. So even pretending arranging an ISDG-related chat would certainly be against the rules...

I believe that GCA do have a contact with CFC.

Maybe they do, and are arranging to have us research redundant techs, planning to screw us out of the deal and pull ahead in research. That would be really devious and quite "unethical", but quite effective if they do have a set plan to take us out.

Neither of CDG/GCA has Warrior Code - I have checked that after we've discovered it this turn (#37). Neither of them has The Wheel (the research cost is the full 96 beakers).

hi ,

sounds logical , make a deal with three or four for a while and take the others out while sharing tech's , then they turn against each other at one point , .....

maybe we should do the same , .....
