OK - one way of technically around it .....
Rename the Horsemen to "Vox1, Vox2, Vox3, ....."
In our explanation.......
These horsemen do not belong to the GoW...they were purchased in full by the Vox team. We have no interest in them, and consider them to be Voxian units. They are mercenaries, and therefore are exempted from the deal.
We dont "declare war"...but merely claim that we still consider the GS a valuable trading partner. We plan on honoring all of our agreements, and it is only game mechanics that force us to "declare war".
If any unit dies, and they start bagging us...we must remain impassive, and just say...the unit does not belong to us...you just killed a voxian.
Plus, agree that we stretched the truth a bit, but hell...alls fair in love and war

I would just like to point out, that I could not care less about GS's respect..or lack of.
I am concerned about our reputation with the other teams. We are royally screwing GS, and have every intention of breaking our agreement not to invade.
Now, GS will be mightily pissed, but they are going to be eliminated so ...who cares.
But they will squeal like stuck pigs how we cant be trusted in the public forum. I just think, we can soften the blow if we claim that the units are mercenaries belonging to Vox, and are therefore now covered in our agreement.
Hell...we ADVERTSIED ourselves as mercenaries for hire. Why not use that now.
Sure..no-one will believe us...but
1. We have along term agreement with ND. If ND are close to GS, then wouldnt ND be concerned that we openly just break agreements ?
2. We are hoping to fool RP that we are on their side...surely they would be suspicious after we have shown that we dont value any agreements that we make ?
3. And aliances that we make in the furute would be very difficult to negotiate, as no-one will trust us.
I am simply suggesting a way of maintaining some of our reputation.
I suggest how it works...is that
1. On the turn we invade, and just before GS gets the save.
2. Beta makes the announcement that they have purchased mercenaries to join their fight against the evil GS empire.
3. We post immediately, confirming that we have made a monetary arrangement, and the mercenary units are now part of the grand voxian immortal army.
Beta will agree to do it this way, because we tell them that it was the only way we could guarantee safe passage in GS territorial waters.
I fully believe we will receive the wrath, of not only GS, but most of the teams for breaking a deal. I just believe that we can soften it a little, and remind them of our advertisement.
Just remember the slanderous vomit that GS said, when Vox invaded....which was completely within the game rules. We need to remain impassive, and keep on repeating that we did not break any agreements.
We certainly told a few white lies..but so do all the teams. (I bet that we find a harbor already built by GS, even though they said they did not have one, and wanted to charge us for it.)
Another reason why I want to do this, is ... why are GS taking so long with their turns ? I do believe, they are desperately looking for help from other teams. (hell, we gave them 200g and a NDA). - What is they have sold Fuedalism to 3 other teams for 200g...each with a NDA.
Each team will get it on the same turn, and all think they have exclusive use
Other help, could come in the form of a MPP. What id they used our 200g to buy ND, RP or Lego. They agree to attack any 3rd team who enters the fight...just to make it a fair 1 vs 1 war.
If this happens...again, we claim we are not at war, and simply the units are Voxian units..not GoW. This will give ND , RP or Lego a way out of not being forced into declaring war.
2nd point, I think we also suggest to GS that our units are available for purchase by them. We make an outrageous demand that they could never afford...but at least we can claim that we were impartial.
eg...500g for 1 horseman to land in Vox territoy and but their iron / pillage / or attack their capital.
Hell, if they somehow have the money, we can always screw them again, and have another pretend war with Vox

i dont think they'll buy it, but i agree we should try make it less like we break a treaty.. we should make clear that vox bought our units (as they have, more or less) but i see no point in denying that we were planning it when we signed the ROP, they wont buy that we wern't..
just my thought,

This can be made to work in our favor. By doing this we let all teams know that we are for hire without regard to alliance or current treaties. It would give us much more manueverability. We do need to say that once we have acepted payment we will not turn on our employer for the duration. However, we want ND to know that they are not in danger. Mainly because they can actually hurt us( though don't tell them that). Also we can appease GS's ego by saying that vox knew they were too great to be taken openly, so a little slyness was needed. This whole event does cast a shadow on all peace agreements and such and leads to a much more no hold barred game. In such a game a mercenary team has much to gain.
