Hello AC-Fiction writers and readers alike!

As you can see, there is a nice new story in this forum. It's the "Crossfire Tales." It is the first story here to be based totally on the Alien Crossfire expansion to Alpha Centauri. It combines the new factions, life forms, and technologies with the old ones, creating a full Planet of 11 factions (with three more to come!)

This story is the fastest thing growing on this forum, yet it has only four writers. We four are doing our best to cover the eleven factions, but we can only do so much. Factions will be left out. The Gaians, the Believers, the Morganites. None of these factions have been really added to this story. And the rest of the ones that don't have human authors are still up for grabs.

That's where YOU come in! We are always looking for new authors! Choose your favorite faction that doesn't have a writer and respond to this forum. Within a day or so you will be emailed all the information about what's going on behind-the-scenes in this story so you can join the group easily.

We are a totally democratic group, so any new member will have as a loud a voice as any other. We are totally open to new ideas and even post rewrites that improve the story.

I'd be interested in writing... is the Cybernetic faction still up for grabs? They don't seem to be mentioned in the beginning-to-mid posts (I haven't read everything yet). Even if they aren't, I'd still be interested.

Technocrat,

The Cyborg faction IS in the story, but it comes in during the later posts (near the end of the first page) They attack the Drones for no apparent reason and force the Pirates to join them (although they don't sign a pact or anything)

Someone responded to a similar thread about wanting to control the Cyborgs. They have not yet gotten back to me about it, so I'm not sure if they want the part. Even if they do take it, perhaps you two could do a co-op and control different parts of the faction. I'll post any new information I have about this.

OK, but one question - will I necessarily have to maintain the war with the Drones? I have certain ideas about where I might want the faction to go...

techno.....you don't nescarrily need to...but if you could finish up the war...perhaps end the war with some kind of peace offering, or a triple alliance with the new factions...(drones..cyborgs...pirates) this united thing could be what we use to actually compete with the larger factions....we probe guys are just quiet people that change the world...heck only 1 faction knows where iam

Thanks to me Paul! I went to great meaures to make sure you stay hidden.

But he is write. You can make a treaty with me and blame the whole war on a computer bug in the simulator or something. Give me some jets and I'll be willing to call it off.

Remember: we only give you the starting point. You can go where you want to, as long as you explain how you get there.
