	Ambassador's: Please Report. Suffering from ads?

As our King has just announced my appoinment as Cheif Ambassador to the Crown, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for the Honor and Trust that has been bestowed upon me to represent our great Empire to the world. Now, to work.

I'd like to start with each of the current Ambassador's giving me a written report on the current status Spain has with each Civ.

I would like to know the following:

1. Who you are. (A brief summary of what your approach to Diplomacy and to PTW in general)
   
2. Who your counterpart is in the other Civ and how you'd rate your relationship with them.
   
3. What's the 'short' history between our Civ's.
   
4. Our current Diplomatic status with your assigned Civ.
   
5. A list of the last 3 agreements we've had with this Civ.
   
6. If you want to retain your current position.

This is an important time for Spain, our greatness knows no bounds. We must strive to bring our allies close to us and our enemies even closer. (Gotta keep an eye on those bugger's!)

I am not an ambassador, but an instant diplomat of the King, who is currently trying to establish a mutual protection treaty with Legoland.

The status of this treaty is:
- We have an agreement on the text of the articles.
- We have not yet reached an agreement on exchanging maps because the constitution of Legoland forbids them to trade their map to only one nation. If they trade maps, they should have an exchange of maps with all other nations. I hope to meet President Vondrack or Foreign Affair Minister Nimitz soon to further discuss this.

I still have hope that we can come to an agreement, though this depends on how the international politics develop.
Legoland is willing to exchange maps with us, but they don't want to exchange with others yet. Second difficulty is that Legoland was graceful when I began the negotiations, but after such a long time they get a bit disinterested.

I will try to do waht I can to establish this. Until now I have discussed this with the King himself because this decreases the time to esteblish the agreement. I don't mind to discuss these issues with the Chief Ambassador, unless the King will hand over the power to make decisions on these issues. If not, I consider talks with the Chief Ambassador only not very useful except for helping me by providing ideas and help with writing the treaty, but that is someting any Spaniard could help me with and not particular the Chief Ambassador, because I still need approval from the King. I mean no offense by this it is just to inform you of my view on this Chief Ambassador.

Who you are. ----> I think diplomacy is an intricate art that needs a balance between threatening, speaking softly, reminding ´em of how big is the stick Spain carries,making ´em think you are figthing against your team to give them privileges...
Who your counterpart is in the other Civ and how you'd rate your relationship with them ----------> Señor BetaHound, minister of Information of Iraq. I´d rate the relationship very well, I trick him, he tries to trick me, I simulate that I fell for it, we make some agreements, some RP and some sincere talk.
What's the 'short' history between our Civ's and them? ---------> uhh, basicaly trades, and a non-agression trade... And I am about to receive a screenshot form the war....

Our current Diplomatic status with your assigned Civ. Nice, we are making some deals to sustain their war... considering sending a Spanish Expeditionary force towards Estonia to pillag.. err Liberate their lands from farms roads and certain cities....and gold.

When our Lord Togas has need of contacting a civ without any sort of formality, I ususally volunteer for the job. I am usually a streight shooter in my discussions, not adding much if any RP. I try and make them appear as a friendly chat about subject x, while tossing in some side things about subjects y & z. \Only very rairly has my service been needed, and those time it has often not worked as it is often "after the fact".

I was ambasador to GS for a while, although I had to resign as I was unable to commit to being around on weekends when the majority of the talking was taking place (I was also experiencing some computer problems as well). I know players on all teams except ND.

OH ya, since you asked - I am the war monger on this team and I usually play my games as such.

1. MrWhereItsAt - officially ambassador to Neu Demogyptica
2. Used to be Darekill, and we would contact each other frequently. I have heard it changed to someone else, but haven't heard from them or Darekill in ages. Last PM to Darekill not returned.
3. Not certain ATM. We are rivals on the same landmass, but often united as in against Vox's short invasion some time ago. Many in RP seem to distrust them and I could never think why. I tried to keep as open a mind as I could about them.
4. No idea since the Poly crash.
5. Have to search around a bit - a NAP for some time.
6. Depends on whether I can find out who is the new contact and whether they are willing to respond.
