Lego-Vox trade proposal - revote Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

Revote - to be sure that no one missed the vote because of the Easter Apolyton Holiday ;-)

--------------------

OK, we have discussed this enough and time is running out. Do you agree or not with such a proposal?

quote:

Lego-Vox trade proposal

1. Vox agrees to gift Engineering to Lego on the turn it becomes available for Vox. Lego agrees on a 20 turns "no-whoring" clause.

2. Lego agrees to gift Theology to Vox upon request, urging Vox not to request it until they need it for Education, in order to make it difficult for any other team trying to research it on their own. Vox agrees not to build the Sistine Chapel, and to not trade Theology to any team unless that team also agrees not to build the Sistine Chapel as part of the trade.

3. Lego agrees to pay 120 gold to Vox on turn 97 (Vox receives it on turn 98). Vox gifts Lego their WM on turn 98, their WM again when the war with GS is over and war reports and screenshots every 3 (??) turns.

4. Lego grants Vox a loan of 120 gold on turn 102 (Vox receives on turn 103). Vox starts repaying it in 20 turns after turn 103, in an amount of 6 gpt, for 20 turns.

Added: 5. Both parties agree to keep this trade agreement top secret, never revealing any details to a third party.

Possible answers:
1. Yes
2. Yes, but I'd like to see it slightly modified ... (please explain)
3. No, but if we'd modify ... I'd accept it (please explain)
4. No
5. I'd rather give them a banana (abstain)

I voted "yes, but I'd like to see it modified." We should include a secrecy clause, IMO.

Ah, right! I forgot about the secrecy clause. If no one objects against it, we should include one.

I would be in favor of a secrecy clause.

Hi!

I would be in favour of a secrecy clause too.

As well I would also suggest that we change the clause on the loan portion from "120 gold on turn 102" to "120 gold when the Legos obtain the money, provided it is within 5 to 10 turns from Turn 97" on the treaty we send to Vox as that would give us some flexibility if we chose to use it (plus might please them if we do give it to them in the 5 turns - a little psychological tactic even with friends always helps )

Sharpe's proposal would be okay with me; I don't see much in-game point, as we won't need too much money till Repubilc, but I don't see a reason against it either.

Tired of ads?

I support the proposal in the original form (with the secrecy clause added). I don't like Sharpe's change - if I was them, I'd wish to sign a treaty that guarantees me gold at given times, not "some time between turns X and Y", which is simply bad fom their planning. And I do not see how such a clause would help us anyway... until in Republic, we'll be just sitting on all that gold, so added "flexibility" would be of little use to us.

This has just been PMed to BetaHound (I made slight adjustments to make the treaty make sense - reflecting the one turn delay caused by the time we needed to repoll):

quote:
Hello, BetaHound!

Sorry for the delay in getting this to you, but the Poly downtime messed with our ratification poll and we had to re-poll to make it "by the book". I hope you will find the trade treaty proposal fine and acceptable for your team - if you let us know soon enough, we will send you the first part of the gold on this very turn.

As our ambassador, Tiberius, is temporarily AFK, I am sending this on his behalf - send your response either to me or to Nimitz, our Foreign Minister, please.

quote:
Lego-Vox trade treaty of 630BC

3. Lego agrees to pay 120 gold to Vox on turn 98 (Vox receives it on turn 99). Vox gifts Lego their WM on turn 99, their WM again when the war with GS is over and war reports and screenshots at least every 3 turns.

4. Lego grants Vox a loan of 120 gold on turn 102 (Vox receives on turn 103). Vox starts repaying it within 20 turns after turn 103, in an amount of 6 gpt, for 20 turns.

5. Both parties agree to keep this trade agreement top secret, never revealing any details to a third party.

Signed:
vondrack, the President of Legoland

We are crossing our fingers for you!

Take care,
vondrack
